Logline: A rural noir thriller following a boy and his mother’s arrival into a small town where their fractured relationship is widened by his deepening journey into gun culture. Amidst the increasingly dangerous path he finds himself on, he and his mother struggle to repair their fractured family. But at what cost?
John Mossman, Director-Screenwriter. John has written and directed numerous award winning films, including the acclaimed feature Into The Wake, winner of the Industry Choice Award at Dances With Films. His work has screened at the DGA, the Egyptian Theater as part of the American Cinematheque Series, and has won top awards at fests worldwide. His groundbreaking documentary on teen mental illness, There's No Such Thing As Crazy, received Telly and Voice awards.
John is a cofounder of The Artistic Home Theater and Actor Training Program where he has directed notable revivals as well as new works, receiving a Jeff Award for his adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky's screenplay The Goddess. In 2019 his production of Requiem For A Heavyweight received Jeff Awards for Best Direction, Production, Sound Design and Lead Actor. For 15 years he has run South Side FYI, a mentorship program for young underserved filmmakers from Chicago's South Side. He teaches Directing at Columbia College and Second City's Harold Ramis Film School. He hails from Baraboo, Wisconsin, a town noted for its circus and Indian Mounds.

De Cooper is currently Head of Finance and Business Affairs at Searchlight Pictures. Prior to starting that role, De helped guide GOOD GUY WITH A GUN after producing a handful of indie films including Miss Arizona , Chasing the Blues starring Jon Lovitz, Chasing Gold starring Paul Sorvino, and the TV Pilot Vendors directed by Joel Murray. Kevin Cooper is a producer-director who worked as a Development executive in Hollywood for a number of years. While running Development for Digital Domain, he was an Executive Producer on Secondhand Lions starring Michael Caine and Robert Duvall. Previously, he was an executive for Bay Films and Fox 2000 where he worked on such films as Fight Club, Men of Honor and Thin Red Line. He holds an MFA in Creative Producing from UCLA and a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. IMDB

John, founder of Zombie Army Productions, has been producing award winning haunted houses, events, films, and theatre in Chicagoland for the past two decades. John has produced, written, or directed several independent films shot in Chicago, his credits include; The Moleman of Belmont Avenue, The Art of Pain, and The Adventures of Kitty Zombie. As much fun as he has behind the camera, acting is his first love. Any time he gets the chance, John is on stage as an ensemble member at The Artistic Home Theatre or working on independent films in Chicago. When John is not working on a film or a theatre production, his “day job” is producing his haunted houses. John’s theatre and film background give him the foundation to create massive interactive haunted attractions that leave the audience feeling like they had just walked through a live horror film.
